Intermediate Islamic Studies and Islamic History Class B - Cl.1


Class B Hifdh/Memorization – All other ajza beyond Juz Amma, depending upon the students abilities; taught by Ustadah Kenz (Graduate of the Rajhi Academy Online School in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia)


*A juz’ (Arabic: جزء‎, plural اجزاء ajza’) literally means “part.” It is one of thirty parts of roughly equal length into which the Qur'an has been divided.


Quran/Tafsir Reading from Tafsir Ibn Kathir (Juz 28) - Alhamdulillah, in this class we will carefully read through the following suwar: 58 - 63 which is the end of the book inshaAllah. We begin with The Tafsir of Surah al-Mujadilah Chapter 58 (The woman who disputes). This surah was revealed in al-Madinah: Volume 9. ayaat 1 - 7; Pages 509 - 518/PDF pages ( 5062 - 5090). This surah may take several sessions, so be patient inshaAllah. At the end of the daily reading, students are to share their benefits (at least one paragraph per benefit about what you have learned today, inshaAllah); write benefits 1 & 2.


Islamic Studies - Review of 3 Fundamental Principles/Extension (Biographies of Muhammad Ibn Abdul Wahhab (rahimahullah) and Muhammad Ibn Saalih al-Uthaymeen (rahimahullah)

Ahaadith Reading - Sahih al-Bukhari Vol. 1 ahaadith 1 - 70 (read 10 ahaadith each day of the week inshaAllah); Hadith questions 1 - 5


*Class timings and subjects will be adjusted according to what is required. There is no rush to complete any given text. Sabr is required and needed at all times inshaAllah. May Allah reward you and grant all of us the benefit of seeking ilm, aameen. A 15 minute break will be provided midway so that students can relax, get something to drink, use the restroom, etc.; and then return refreshed by the permission of Allah.
